I bought this amp innovative less than recently and it has now died on me. My entire system has been professionally installed and appeared great but for the asking price of the amp I surely expected it to last a lot longer. I will be investing in the Alpine PDX-5 as the replacement while there is no warranty. I loved the amp nevertheless would warn anyone as a result of its short life cover. The amp was installed inside my pickup which is suited for weekends etc. and I never missed my system like someone younger can have done. Buyer beware! I couldnt be happier with this particular amp. Im running 4 infinity 6 3/4 speaker systems and and infinity 12 inch boxed sub inside my trunk. 2 of the 6 3/4 inside front doors and two relating to the rear deck of my own toyota corolla. I had to increase 2 ground loop isolators to take out the whining sound in the alternator also. Im using a kenwood cd player inside dash that is perfect for the car. Sounds superior. I paid less than 1000 dollars for your setup which isnt damaging a decent car music system. Bought from Hooked with Tronics for $250. That is the only reason it comes with three stars. It does sound quite as good as the stock set-up nevertheless marginally so even with Alpine CDA-9885 TOGETHER WITH Alpine Type S Component 5-1/4 (middle in the road components). If you continue 50 watt RMS speaker systems and are not too occupied with high volume quality sound and want better-than-stock performance out of your car then this is amp ideal for you. Bass is corresponding performance even at 2ohms. Ever again stick with lower end speakers to improve sound quality at better levels (ie: lower RMS score like a sub using 250 tops). Overall I taken care of what I got. Practically nothing special but enough to produce higher than stock top quality sound. (Even the Alpine decks alone sounded better). I recognize that the highs are primary to distort usually the contrary every other amp As i ve used.

I was worried after purchasing the amp because I read a poor review. Knowing that my daughter wanted a hard-hitting sub, I was worried. However, after listening to her stereo my fears were unwarranted. The stereo sounds great and my daughter is very happy with her system.

It does sound better than the stock set-up, but marginally so, even with Alpine CDA-9885 AND Alpine Type S Component 5-1/4" (middle of the road components). If you stick with 50 watt RMS speakers, and are not too concerned with high volume quality audio and want better-than-stock performance from your car, then this is amp is for you.
